ABOUT STORM CHASING

If you know one thing about me, its that I love storms. They fascinate me.

Hail, lightning and tornadoes are just a few of the things that captivate my curiosity and draws me to them every spring and summer. Tracking these systems and hunting them down is the kind of thing I live for.

The first thing I do every morning is check the forecast. I want to know when and where a storm will strike and I want to be there when it does. I get in my car and travel for hours to see the show that mother nature puts on in the sky.

I load up my vehicle with tons of equipment to make sure I'm prepared before the storm and after the storm. I want to make sure I get the upper hand on where and when the show starts and how I need to get there.

When I was young, I watched the movie Twister on VHS and was instantly hooked. I found something that I could enjoy.

It captured my whole life. I would take out all the weather books my school library had and would learn about weather any chance I got.

Today, I'm still upgrading my arsenal, finding new ways to capture lightning and still learning how severe weather works.

So if you see a truck with a little weather station on top, its probably me, and know that a storm isn't too far.
