MY STORY

I was born on October 19th 2002 in Regina, Saskatchewan.

I began photographing things at a young age with toy cameras and small point and shoot cameras but began professional photography when I got my first DSLR at 16. Things really started out for me when I got my first vehicle. I began travelling all over Saskatchewan in search of new things to shoot.

Storm photography is probably my favorite thing to shoot. The thrill of something far more powerful than you looming over your head is something that I can't quite describe. My fascination with storms started when I was a child when I watched the 1996 movie "Twister". After that moment, I knew that I had found something that I wanted to do.

I began chasing storms whenever I could. Armed with only a camera and a cell phone, I would track thunderstorms and watch as they hovered above the fields of the prairies.

My life now isn't too different from my younger days. I still love taking photos and chasing storms. But now, I'm much more equipped. I have the best tracking software and equipment that I can get my hands on.

If you see me out on the highway, chances are I'm off to track down a storm.

My second favorite thing to shoot is old houses.

Saskatchewan has a rich history of agriculture and that is reflected in some of the long forgotten homesteads that litter the prairies like weeds. These houses hold a story that is lost in time and I want to show the world that these places existed and are still there.

The mystery is my favorite part of shooting these old houses. Who lived there? Where are they now? What took place to leave this place forgotten?

Other than photography, I like to dabble in technology. Specifically audio. I am working towards a career in audio engineering and hope to land a job in that field sometime in the near future.
